Luna de Miel | San Jose Del Cabo

Tuesday, October 25, 2016

I wrote this a few weeks ago, shortly after coming home but never got around to going through all the photos on my phone. It's wild how quick time goes by. I am still trying to go through all the wedding photos and edit them, then eventually put them together in a scrapbook before the holidays arrive. Getting things done, little by little.

We arrived in Mexico greeted by hundreds of tiny yellow butterflies. As our plane taxied on the runway, these little creatures flew alongside us. As though they were here to greet the butterflies we were carrying inside our bellies.

We were both still very excited about the day before. We couldn’t believe we had just been married, had a fiesta and now we were in Mexico, just the two of us.

I still have butterflies just thinking about this last week. My heart is so full.

We spent most of our time in San Jose del Cabo and ventured off one of the days to Cabo San Lucus to do a little shopping. It was an unplugged weekend for the two of us so I was only able to capture a few cellphone photos from our little stay in Mexico. I can’t wait till we visit Mexico again, maybe a little less of the “Zona Hotelera” and little more of the city part of it, and I will definitely be taking my big camera on that trip.

September to Remember-pt. 2 (On route to Florence)

Saturday, November 14, 2015

Florence was different. It was big, it was busy and so beautiful. I noticed that I didn't take as many photos here as I had in Vernazza. There were days there that I just wanted to fit in and enjoy just being there. I guess in my mind fitting in meant not lugging around my big camera and fanny pack. I don't regret all the photos that could have been taken. I felt content holding my hands up and forming a box as if it was a camera. Those mental pictures and stories will develop once the opportunity to talk about them comes around.
